MTP PRODS Announces Next Show in Its Campus Comedy Series; Submits to PinkOTC for Limited Info Tier
Mike The Pike Productions, Inc. (PINKSHEETS:Â MIKP) Concerts/Events Division announces comedian Greg Warren (www.GregWarrenComedy.com) as the feature for its next show in the company’s Campus Comedy Series. Warren, represented by industry staple, APA Talent and Literary, grew up in St. Louis Missouri and has captivated audiences worldwide with anecdotes of his Midwest upbringing. Warren has appeared on Comedy Central, “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” CMT, BET, “Last Comic Standing” and Bob and Tom All-Stars, to name a handful and “We’re pleased to be bringing him to Fort Wayne for the Campus Comedy series,” states J.T. Tyme, Promotions VP with Mike the Pike Productions.
“We’ve teamed up once again with 92.3 ‘The Fort’ (WFWI), Fort Wayne’s home for the Bob and Tom syndicated radio program on which Warren frequently appears,” Tyme continues. The company recently worked with the Federated Media station on Comedy Central’s Mike Birbiglia ‘I’m in the Future Also’ Tour at Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne which was a success for all involved. “The Campus Comedy shows are relatively low cost shows marketed to a niche audience; We sync on-campus promotions with a targeted campaign via our radio partner(s) for a rather turnkey event that’s good for the comedian, our sponsors, the stations and Mike The Pike Productions and its shareholders. This particular show has already been cost-covered 100% in sponsorships even prior to ticket sales… which is nice.”
The company has booked Warren as an ‘Off-Campus’ University event so as to welcome colleges regionally to attend on ‘neutral’ ground. The event will feature special student pricing and sponsors will be giving out free tanning coupons, hotel stays, sports supplements & more. The show takes place on December 2nd at University favorite, YOLO’s, the All-Ages side of 21+ club Early Birds next to the city’s Glenbrook Square Mall.
As well, the company will be announcing another event or two before the end of 2009 as it wraps up the year in preparation for “some great acts in 2010,” states MTP CEO Mark B. Newbauer. “We have been notified by a top agency that MTP has already been included on routing schedules for two major artists next year. These are strong artists and we will announce as soon as Tour managers complete routing for each of them; in the meantime, we’re actively discussing with agents/managers several acts for next quarter and plan for the first large show to take place in a Top 50 (radio) market. This will be a strong start in our 2010 goal of branching out nationally with shows in the Concerts/Events Division… and we’re doing well in the meantime. Auditions for ourwww.IndianasGotTalent.com competition begin this weekend (Nov. 7 &8) and both dates are completely filled with registrants with the next set of dates filling up fast. Overall, the next few months will be instrumental in the development of Mike the Pike Productions as we implement assets and strategies to create fixtures for multiple streams of revenue.
Note to shareholders and prospective shareholders: MTP Prods has submitted paperwork to PinkOTC according to its guidelines toward getting listed as ‘Limited Information’ Tier, which should effect in the very near future.
The company has also given its website a facelift toward at-your-fingertips accessibility and will continue to grow the site over the next month for a fully-functional, interactive, user-friendly web headquarters for Mike the Pike Productions. It will include data capturing, contests, rotating banners and expedient updates.
